OHS Class of 1986 Positivity Project: “Be Great”
As we celebrate 40 years, we’re giving back in a meaningful way, by pouring encouragement
into today’s OHS students.
In honor and loving tribute to a member of the Class of 1986’s son, Jack, whose daily message to
himself was simply, “Be Great”, we are creating a collection of uplifting messages from our
class to inspire the next generation.
This is our chance to share wisdom, strength, humor, and heart with students walking the same
halls we once did.
Forty years later… we still have something to say.
The Class of ’86 is coming together to create a Positivity Project for today’s OHS
students—centered around one simple, powerful message:
Be Great.
In loving tribute to Jack Gersten (Lauren Meisel Gersten, Class of 86), whose daily words to
himself were “Be Great,” we’re asking each of you to share a message of encouragement,
wisdom, or perspective with students walking the same path we once did.
Add your senior photo. Add your voice.
Let’s remind them they matter, and that greatness is already within them.
